Sentiment analysis in Vista Social helps you understand the tone and emotion behind messages across your social profiles. While sentiments are automatically assigned, you can manually edit them when the context of a message needs clarification.
This guide explains how to update sentiment directly from the social inbox.

How to edit a sentiment in inbox conversations
Open the Inbox and select the conversation that contains the message you want to update.
Locate the sentiment badge shown under the message. You can hover over it to view the sentiment explanation.
Click on the sentiment badge to open the change sentiment window.
Use the dropdown to choose the correct sentiment: positive, negative, neutral, or mixed.
Enter a short reason explaining why the sentiment was updated.
Example: Expression of lack of understanding but customer was not frustrated.Select Save to apply the change.
The updated sentiment will now appear on the message and be reflected across inbox views, social listening, and reports.
