When another Instagram account tags your connected profile as a collaborator on a post or reel, an invite shows up in your Vista Social inbox. You can accept or decline it right from there, without opening the Instagram app.
How to accept an Instagram collab invite
- Go to your Inbox.
- Find the message from the account that invited you to collaborate. It's labeled Invite to [your profile handle].
- Click the three-dot menu next to the message and select Accept Invite.
- A confirmation window appears, showing which account sent the invite. Click Accept to confirm the collaboration, or Decline if you don't want to be tagged as a collaborator.
Important notes
- You can filter your inbox to show only invites by selecting Invites under message type in your filter options.
- The confirmation window includes a Mark as completed checkbox, checked by default. This marks the conversation as resolved in your inbox once you've accepted or declined.
- Declining an invite means you won't appear as a collaborator on that post or reel.
