What is a Macro?
A macro is a single instruction that automatically expands into a set of actions.
In simple terms, one click does several things at once.
For example, a macro can:
Mark a conversation as read or complete
Apply a label
Create and assign a task
Add a star or priority
All of those actions happen together when the macro is applied.
Where to find Macros
In the inbox, go to a conversation you want to apply a Macro to, then look for the ⚡︎ lightning widget. This is where you can view and run any macros that are available to your profile group.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What happens if I run the same macro on the same message again?
A: Macros are intended to run once per conversation. If you apply the same macro again, nothing will change because the actions have already been completed. This prevents duplicate labels, tasks, or updates.
Q: Who can use macros?
A: Macros are created at the profile group level, so everyone in that group can use them. Private, user-specific macros are not currently available.
