Scheduling an Instagram Trial Reel is easy! Just make sure the video you've uploaded is a vertical video that meets Instagram's requirements.
Once your video is uploaded to the publisher:
You'll switch the "Publish as reel" dropdown to "Publish as trial reel".
You will be able to choose whether you'll manually graduate this post to a full post on your feed yourself via the IG app if it hits the performance you want, or if you want Instagram to do it for you automatically.
|
Note Instagram only supports the Trial Reels feature for Creator and Business Accounts with at least 1,000 followers. If your account does not meet this requirement, the option to publish as a Trial Reel will not be available. |
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Who can see a Trial Reel?
A: Trial Reels are initially only distributed to non-followers. They will not appear on your profile grid or in your followers' main feeds unless you manually or automatically choose to "graduate" the Trial Reel to a regular post after reviewing its performance.
Q: Can I set a custom thumbnail for an Instagram Trial Reel?
A: Yes, you can. You can select a frame from the video or upload a custom image as your thumbnail before scheduling. However, please note that due to Instagram's limitations, some thumbnail settings may not be visible to non-followers during the trial period.
