When you first connect a social profile, Vista Social automatically retrieves up to 60 days of historical data for that profile, where the network's API allows it.
No data retention limits
Vista Social doesn't limit data retention. From the day you connect a profile, your data stays available for as long as you're subscribed, so you can always look back and see how your content performed, whether it was last month or years ago.

Note Every plan gets up to 60 days of historical data automatically. Enterprise customers and Scale customers on annual billing can request up to 2 years by contacting support. Scale customers can also get it with the Historical Backfill add-on. Some networks, such as TikTok, only provide 60 days through their API. |
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I received a new comment on an old post, but it's not in my Inbox. Why?
A: Vista Social can only retrieve comments from posts that are synced in your account. Most networks' APIs don't let us fetch comments on posts from before your connection, for example posts older than 60 days from your first connection date. Comments on newer, synced posts appear as expected.
Q: Why does my Meta follower count show a big spike after connecting?
A: Meta doesn't provide historical follower data to third-party tools, so Vista Social starts tracking your follower count at the time of connection. You can show or hide specific metrics in your reports. See How to customize your reports.
Q: Can I get more than 60 days of historical data?
A: Yes. On Enterprise, and on Scale with annual billing, you can request up to 2 years by contacting support. On Scale, you can also add the Historical Backfill add-on. Availability depends on each network's API.
