Below you'll find the most frequent publishing errors along with recommendations on what to do if they happen. In all cases, if the error persists or if you are unable to figure out how to fix the problem, we are here to help, please contact support.
1
Page request limit reached.
Recommendation
The profile has reached its API calls limit, therefore we are not able to publish on this profile, or sync its new comments. The API calls limit is based on daily active people (DAP) - the higher your page's DAP, the higher the rate limit threshold. As soon as the threshold is reached, the profile is locked by Instagram/Facebook and the only way to get this "resolved" is to wait for the profile to be unlocked by the native platform. If the error persists, please contact support.
2
The aspect ratio is not supported.
Recommendation
The aspect ratio of the image must be within 4:5 to 1.91:1. Crop the image and try to publish it again. If the error persists, please contact support.
3
An unexpected error has occurred. Please retry your request later.
Recommendation
Unknown error - we have no further information on this one. The only thing we can recommend is publishing the same content again later. If the error persists, please contact support.
4
Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons.
Recommendation
It appears that Vista Social no longer has valid access to your profile. It has either expired or has been revoked. You simply need to reconnect this profile. If the error persists, please contact support.
5
The image format is not supported.
Recommendation
The problem is most likely the image resolution - Instagram allows a max resolution of 1920x1080px. Posts failed with this error message usually contain images with a much higher resolution. Resize the image and try publishing again. If the error persists, please contact support.
6
Fatal
Recommendation
This error is returned when Instagram anti-spam mechanism is triggered. Instagram does not say what caused it since it is all AI algorithm driven and how you can prevent it (there are no further details along with the error message). Instagram intentionally do not share the details to prevent someone trying to circumvent or playing around with their system. Our recommendation is to modify the post and try to publishing this post again. If the error persists, please contact support.
7
(#10) The user is not an Instagram Business
Recommendation
This publishing error can happen when you switch your Instagram Business Account to an Instagram Creator Account. Publishing on a Creator Account is not available via the Instagram API at the moment, so we recommend you switch your account back to a Business Account. If the error persists, please contact support.

- If the error persists, please contact support.

The Instagram account is inactive, checkpointed, or restricted. Please sign in to the Instagram app and complete any actions the app requires to re-enable their account.
Recommendation
Various factors, such as logging in from multiple devices into the same Instagram account or using automation apps requesting login credentials, can trigger these checkpoints.
To resolve this, we suggest logging in to your Instagram account through the mobile app and following the on-screen instructions to address any checkpoints.
Please keep in mind that even after completing these steps, it may take some time for the checkpoint to be cleared. These checkpoints are automated mechanisms within Instagram, often powered by AI.
