The limit of 25 posts per profile per day applies to all plans and every network except Reddit. Need a higher limit? Contact support and we'll review your use case. |
Vista Social limits how many posts each profile can publish per day. This keeps your profiles in good standing with the social networks and helps avoid account blocks and duplicate content.
How the daily limit works
- Each profile can publish up to 25 posts per day, on every network except Reddit.
- The limit works on a rolling 24-hour basis. Each post's slot opens up again 24 hours after it was published.
- Failed posts don't count toward the limit.
- Published posts count even if you delete them afterwards.
Reddit limits
Reddit is stricter with third-party apps, so Reddit profiles have their own limits. See Reddit Publishing with Vista Social for the full rules.
- 5 posts per profile in any 24 hours.
- At least 60 minutes between posts on the same profile.
- 2 posts per subreddit per profile in any 24 hours.
- No repeated content: titles or text that are nearly the same as another post aren't allowed.
- No identical posts across profiles: the same post can't go to several Reddit profiles.
- Content check: every Reddit post is checked first. Harmful content is blocked, and sexual or graphic posts are marked NSFW.
When you reach the limit
What happens: Any post that goes over the limit fails with the error Daily posting limit exceeded.
How to fix it:
- Open the failed post in your Calendar.
- Reschedule it for later, once a slot frees up. A slot opens 24 hours after each of your recent posts was published.
- Spread future posts more evenly across the day.
If you regularly need more than 25 posts per profile per day, contact support.
Network limits are separate
Social networks also have their own limits on how often you can post. If you reach one of those, the network shows its own error instead. For example, Instagram limits how many posts tools like Vista Social can publish to a profile in 24 hours. See the troubleshooting guide for that network:
- Troubleshooting Instagram failed post errors
- Troubleshooting Facebook failed post errors
- Troubleshooting TikTok failed post errors
Need a higher limit?
Higher limits are reviewed case by case. Contact support, tell us which profiles need more posts and why, and we'll review your use case.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When does my daily posting limit reset?
A: The limit works on a rolling 24-hour basis for each profile. Each time a post is published, that slot opens up again exactly 24 hours later.
Q: Do failed posts count toward the limit?
A: No. Only published posts count.
Q: If I delete a published post, do I get the slot back?
A: No. A published post counts toward the limit even if you delete it later.
Q: Is the limit per profile or per account?
A: Per profile. Each connected profile has its own limit.
