You can add Instagram's trending music or original sounds to your Reels in Vista Social, and set how loud that audio is compared to your video's own sound.
Trending audio works with Instagram Reels only. You won't see the option on other Instagram post types.
Turn on Trending audio
- Create or open an Instagram post and attach your video.
- Set the post to publish as a Reel.
- In the Instagram options, switch on the Trending audio toggle.

If you leave the toggle off, the Reel keeps its original audio.
Search for audio
After you turn on the toggle, a search panel opens.
- Pick the type of audio you want:
- Original sound: sounds uploaded by creators.
- Music: licensed music tracks.
- Type a song, artist, or sound name in the Search audio field.
- Press Enter or click the search icon.

Each result has a player, so you can listen to a track before you pick it. Click the play button on any result to preview it.
Select a track
Click Select next to the track you want. It moves into the selected audio box and the search panel closes.

To switch to a different track, click the trash icon to clear the current one and search again.
Adjust the volume
Click Volume inside the selected audio box to open the sliders.
[Screenshot: Volume sliders]
- Video volume sets how loud your video's original sound is.
- Audio volume sets how loud the selected track is.
Move either slider between 0 and 100. If you want only the trending track to play, set Video volume to 0.
Your changes save on their own and apply when the Reel publishes. You can change or remove the audio any time before then.
