Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How can I check my paid vs organic views/impressions for Instagram?
A: By filtering the Post Performance report to Instagram only, you'll find the Paid vs Organic impressions in the top-performing posts table.
Q: How can I find my Instagram Ads analytics for non-boosted posts?
A: Analytics for ads created outside of boosting an organic post are not currently available.
Q: Why can’t I see analytics for Instagram posts where I was added as a collaborator?
A: We only track collaborator posts authored by your connected profile. Posts where you're invited as a collaborator aren’t included due to API limitations. (Tip: Add the original author as a competitor to view analytics in the Competitor Report.)
Q: Why don’t engagement numbers in Vista Social match Meta’s native platform exactly?
A: Meta does not provide third-party platforms with retroactive updates for certain metrics (for example, if a user later unlikes a post). Additionally, data may be captured at different times, which can lead to slight discrepancies.
Q: Can engagement metrics change over time?
A: Yes. Meta allows a 30-day adjustment period for engagement metrics. Vista Social automatically recalculates and syncs data within that 30-day window, so you may see slight shifts in metrics as updated data becomes available.
Q: Why am I seeing link clicks despite my IG post just being published?
A: Even though Instagram caption links aren't clickable, our system tracks shortlink clicks from actions that happen during Instagram's own post processing. This can include Instagram running automated checks or validations on your post, which may trigger clicks on the shortened links in your post.
