Connect Google Play Store to manage your app reviews from the Reviews feed in Vista Social. To set it up, you'll create a service account in Google Cloud, give it access in Google Play Console, and upload its key to Vista Social.
Important You need to be the Google Play Console account owner to set up this integration. |
Step 1: Create a project in Google Cloud
If you already have a project you want to use, skip to Step 2. Learn more about projects in Google's documentation.
1. Log in to Google Cloud Console.
2. Go to IAM & Admin → Create a Project and enter your project details.
Step 2: Create a service account
1. Make sure you're in the correct project.
2. Go to APIs & Services → Enabled APIs & services.
3. Click Library and make sure these APIs are enabled:
- Google Cloud APIs
- Google Cloud Storage
- Google Cloud Storage JSON API
- Google Play Android Developer API
4. Go to IAM & Admin → Service Accounts.
5. Click Create service account.
6. Enter an account name and description. We recommend a descriptive name, like Vista Social Integration, so you know what the account is for.
7. Under Permissions, select a role: Basic → Browser.
8. Click Done.
9. In the service accounts list, click the three dots under Actions and select Manage keys.
10. Click Add key → Create new key.
11. Select JSON and click Create.
12. The private key file is saved to your computer. Click Close. Keep this file, you'll upload it to Vista Social in Step 4.
Step 3: Give the service account access in Google Play Console
1. In Google Play Console, go to Users and permissions.
2. Click Invite new users.
3. Enter the service account's email address. You can find it in Google Cloud under IAM & Admin → Service Accounts.
4. Under Account permissions, select View app information and download bulk reports (read-only) and Reply to reviews.
|
Note Google can take up to 24 hours to apply these permissions. If the connection fails in Step 4, wait and try again. |
Step 4: Connect Google Play Store in Vista Social

5. Click Connect.
