Follow the steps below to connect your Bluesky profile to Vista Social. You'll need your Bluesky handle and an app password.
How to connect your Bluesky profile
1. Log in to your Vista Social account and go to Quick add → Add a social profile.
2. Choose the profile group you want to add the profile to. If the profile group isn't on the list yet, click Create new profile group. Then click Continue.
3. Find Bluesky in the list and click Connect.
4. You'll see fields for your Bluesky Handle and Bluesky app password. Keep this window open while you get them from Bluesky.
5. In a new tab, open Bluesky and go to your profile. Your handle is right below your name. If you haven't set a custom domain, it looks like @yourname.bsky.social.
6. In Bluesky, go to Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords.
7. Click Add App Password.
8. Enter a name for the app password, like Vista Social, and click Next. This is only a name, not the password itself.

9. Copy the app password Bluesky shows you. You won't be able to see it again.
10. Go back to Vista Social, enter your handle and paste the app password, then click Connect.
11. Once the profile is connected, you'll get a notification and the profile will appear under Profile Management.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use my Bluesky account password?
A: No. Vista Social only accepts an app password, which lets you connect safely without sharing your account password.
Q: I lost my app password. What should I do?
A: Bluesky only shows an app password once. Create a new one and use it to reconnect.
Q: Why don't I see Bluesky messages in my inbox?
A: Make sure the app password has Allow access to your direct messages checked. If it doesn't, create a new app password with it checked and reconnect.
Q: My Bluesky profile disconnected. What should I do?
A: Reconnect it by following How to reconnect/disconnect profiles.
