Running a post performance report by tag (formerly post label) shows you how a specific campaign, content pillar, or strategy is performing. You can run it instantly or schedule it for later.
What are tags?
Tags help you organize your content and analyze it more effectively, for example by campaign, content pillar, or marketing strategy. Learn how to add tags to your posts in How to add tags to posts.
How to run a report by tag
1. Go to Reports.
2. For an instant report, select Post Performance Report.
3. In the top-right dropdown, choose the tag you want to report on, or select the tags you want to exclude.
4. To schedule a report for a future date, click Schedule Report and choose Post Performance as the report type. A dropdown appears so you can select your tag.
5. Customize the rest of the scheduled report settings, then click Schedule.

Note Reports that have already been generated show a Download button so you can get a copy any time. |
Best practices
- Merge duplicate tags in Settings → Tags before reporting, so posts tagged "Promo" and "Promotions" are counted together
- Use nested tags for campaigns (for example, "Campaigns / Black Friday") to keep your report dropdown easy to scan
- Archive old campaign tags instead of deleting them, so historical reports stay accurate

Note Labels are now tags. Your existing post labels carried over as tags, so any report you ran by label works the same way with tags. Learn more in How to create and manage tags. |
