Vista Social offers several ways to sign in, depending on how your account is configured. This article explains the available login methods and how to use each one.
Login methods
| Login method | Availability | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Email and password | All plans | Your Vista Social email and password |
| Available when configured | A Google account using the same email address as your Vista Social account | |
| Passkey | When configured | A registered passkey, device, or security key |
| Single sign-on (SSO) | Enterprise plan | Access to your organization's identity provider |

How to log in with a passkey
A passkey lets you sign in without entering a password. Depending on your device, you can authenticate using a fingerprint, face recognition, device PIN, or security key.
- Go to the Vista Social login page.
- Click Login with passkey.
- Follow your device's prompt to verify your identity (fingerprint, face recognition, or security key).
|
Note ⚠️ You must set up a passkey on your Vista Social account before you can use Login with passkey. |
How to log in with single sign-on (SSO)
SSO lets your team log in to Vista Social using your organization's identity provider (such as Okta, Azure AD, Google, or OneLogin), instead of a separate Vista Social password.
- SSO is available on the Enterprise plan only
- Setup is handled with Vista Social's support team working alongside your organization's IT team
|
Note ⚠️ When SSO is enabled for your domain, users must sign in through the organization's identity provider. The regular email and password login option will no longer be available for those users. |
Important notes
- Your Google account must use the same email address as your Vista Social account.
- A passkey must be set up before you can use it to sign in.
- If SSO is enabled for your domain, you must sign in through your organization's identity provider.
- If you lose access to a passkey, you can use another available login method or contact support.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I switch between login methods?
A: If your account doesn't have SSO enabled, yes. You can use email and password, Google, or a passkey depending on what's set up on your account.
Q: Why don't I see the SSO login option?
A: SSO is only available on the Enterprise plan. If you're on Enterprise and don't see it, reach out to your account manager to get it configured for your domain.
Q: I set up SSO. Can I still use my Vista Social password?
A: No. Once SSO is configured for your domain, the email and password login option no longer works, and you won't be able to reset your Vista Social password.
Q: What happens if I lose access to my passkey device?
A: If another login method is available on your account, you can use it to sign in. If you don't have another available login method, contact our support team for assistance.
