If you've bumped into the message "The account owner has disabled access to Instagram Direct Messages" on your Instagram Business or Creator profile, don't worry, there is an easy fix for this.
This usually means you just need to switch on your message access in your Instagram settings.
|
Tip: The good news is this won't affect your ability to publish or schedule content with Vista Social. However, keep in mind that your analytics might not show message stats until you enable this option. |
Here's a quick guide to get you sorted:
|
Note: Depending on your Instagram app version, you might see your settings a bit differently. |
Method #1
1. Open your Instagram app, tap on Settings, and then choose the Messages and story replies option
2. Next, tap on Message controls
3. Scroll down a bit and you'll see the "Allow access to messages" switch under Connected tools. Just flick that on!
Method #2
1. On your Instagram app Settings, tap on Privacy
2. Next, tap on Messages
3. Scroll down a bit and you'll see the "Allow access to messages" switch under Connected tools. Just flick that on!
4. Give it a few hours, and Vista Social will catch up with the change, bringing your Direct Messages right into your Vista Social Inbox. If you're in a hurry, you can also refresh the connection to speed things up.
