You may sometimes see conversations in your inbox where the sender appears as “Unknown.
Why this happens
The sender is most likely using a personal Facebook profile. Personal profiles often restrict the information that third-party systems (like Vista Social) can access.
On LinkedIn, this can also happen depending on the sender’s account privacy settings, which may prevent us from pulling their profile details.
Because of these limitations, we’re unable to link the message back to a specific, named profile — so it appears as Unknown.
What this means for you
The messages are delivered normally, and you can still read and reply.
Only the sender name/ID is hidden, which is why you see Unknown.
This does not affect functionality — replies still go to the right person.
