Vista Social App Integration in Canva – Vista Social

There are two ways to use Canva with Vista Social:

From within Vista Social’s post publisher (learn how here)
Or using the Vista Social app directly inside Canva — this guide covers the second method.

This method gives you more flexibility and control over your content creation by allowing you to stay inside Canva while exporting your designs to Vista Social.

Step-by-step: Export designs from Canva to Vista Social

1. Go to Canva.com

2. In the left-side menu, click on Apps.

3. Search for "Vista Social" and select the Vista Social app.

4. When creating your design, you can choose "Use a new design" or “Use in existing design”.

5. Your design will open with a Vista Social panel on the left.

AI caption generator

You can use this to create captions for your post using Vista Social’s AI tool. Here are its features:

1. Generate a caption for social media

One click and our AI will draft a caption based on the inputs you provide—perfect for jump-starting your post copy.

2. Blank inputs for inspiration

If you leave all fields blank and hit Generate caption, you’ll get a “surprise me” caption that can spark new ideas.

3. Language selection

Choose from multiple languages so your captions match your audience.

4. Tone of voice (optional)

— No preference (default)

— Friendly, professional, witty, inspirational, etc.

Set the tone you need to resonate with your followers.

5. Topic (optional)

— Marketing tips, product launches, behind-the-scenes, real estate highlights, etc.

Narrow the AI’s focus to generate copy that’s on-point.

6. Include keywords (optional)

Enter comma-separated words or hashtags (e.g. “summer, Instagram, #openhouse”) to ensure the AI weaves in your must-have terms.

Exporting your design

This is the main feature that lets you send your Canva design directly to Vista Social.

1. In the Vista Social panel on Canva, click Export design.
2. Select or customize your format: PNG, MP4 (video), PDF, etc.

Important: Only single-page exports are supported right now. Multi-page designs will trigger a warning.

3. Wait for the export to finish.

4. Click Continue in Vista Social.

5. A browser pop-up will appear—click Continue.

6. Your design will open directly in the Vista Social post composer, ready to publish!

Tips for success 💡

You must be logged into Vista Social in another tab for the export to work properly.
This app is available to all users and supports most Canva file types, including images, videos, and PDFs.
When exporting multiple designs, do it one at a time, using this same process.
