How to schedule posts to multiple Pinterest boards using bulk CSV upload in Vista Social

Vista Social’s bulk publishing feature allows you to schedule Pinterest posts to different boards across multiple profiles in one go using a CSV file. This is especially helpful if you manage multiple Pinterest profiles and want to customize which board each post is published to.

Step 1: Prepare your CSV file

To get started, you'll need to create a CSV file with the correct format. The first four columns are required and must appear in this exact order and with these exact headings:

Required columns (in order):

1. message – the caption or description of your post

2. type – specify the type of content (e.g., image)

3. link – a URL to the image or video you want to upload

4. time – when you’d like the post to be published (e.g., now or a specific date/time)

Step 2: Add the board column

To schedule to multiple Pinterest boards, include a column named board (optional column). Use ||| to separate board names. The bulk publisher will check each board in order and match it to what's available in each profile.

Explanation:

• The board column uses ||| to list possible boards in priority order.

• Vista Social will pick the first board available in each Pinterest profile.

Example:

Let’s say you're publishing these posts to profile 1 and profile 2.

• If profile 1 has a board called "recipes", the first post will be scheduled to that board.

• If profile 2 doesn’t have a board called "recipes", but does have "organising tips", the system will schedule the post to that board instead.

Step 3: Upload the CSV to Vista Social

1. In the profile selector area, select the Pinterest profiles you want to schedule posts for
2. Go to Create → Bulk publishing
   
    Choose the Import a CSV file option
   
3. Upload your CSV file. You may also import your file from your online cloud storage.
   
4. Vista Social will automatically validate:
   • That the required columns are present and in the correct order
   • That board names exist in the selected Pinterest profiles
   • That the media links are accessible
   • That the time format is valid
5. If everything checks out, your posts will be scheduled to the appropriate Pinterest boards for each profile!
