Reselling Vista Social? This guide walks you through creating custom packages for your clients, automating the onboarding process, and streamlining account creation with Zapier.
Step 1: Set up your custom packages
Before automating, define what your clients will receive in their package. These can include:
- Profile Groups: Number of profile groups they can manage.
- Users: Number of team members they can invite.
- Profiles: Number of social media accounts they can connect.
Use Shopify, WooCommerce, or another eCommerce platform to list your packages.
Step 2: Set up a Zapier trigger for new purchases
- In Zapier, create a new Zap.
- Select your eCommerce platform as the Trigger App (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Stripe).
- Choose New Order as the trigger event.
- Authenticate your account and select the relevant store.
- Test the trigger to ensure it captures order details.
Step 3: Automate client onboarding in Vista Social
Once a new purchase is detected, use Zapier to automate account setup:
A. Create the profile group
- Add a Vista Social Action step
- Select Create Profile Group as the event
- Map the order details:
- Client Name → Profile Group Name
- Package Type → Select Profile Group Limits (if applicable)
- Test and continue
B. Invite users automatically
- Add another Vista Social Action step
- Select Invite User to Account as the event
- Map the fields:
- Email Address → Customer email from order
- Role → Choose based on package (Admin, Editor, etc.)
- Profile Group → Map from previous step
- Test and continue
Step 4: Notify the client & deliver next steps
Once the account is set up, we will automatically send a welcome email to your client with a button for them to set up their password. While this email comes from Vista Social, we recommend sending a separate welcome email to guide your client through their next steps.
Recommended additional "Welcome" email:
Add an Email Action (Gmail, Outlook, or any email service in Zapier).
- Let them know to expect a welcome email from Vista Social with setup instructions.
- Provide helpful guides on connecting profiles, creating posts, or managing their account.
- Include your own support contact details for any assistance.
This ensures a smooth onboarding experience for your clients!
Step 5: Go live & start selling 🚀
Once everything is tested, turn on your Zap and let the automation handle new client onboarding seamlessly!
Limitations & feature requests
At this time, the following customization options are not available in Vista Social:
- Customizing the welcome email content
- Disabling the Vista Social welcome email
- White-labeling the dashboard logo or domain
- White-labeling system-generated emails
