If you have come across the issue, "We couldn't add/update/delete product tags on your product. The product ID may be incorrect, the product may have been deleted or the app user may not have permission to tag the product", this guide will help you get up and running with scheduling posts to Instagram with your products tagged.
Confirm the product(s) are published & able to be tagged on the Instagram App
In order for scheduling tools like Vista Social to be able to tag products in your posts, those products must be fully published and able to be tagged natively on Instagram.
To test this, head to the Instagram app and try creating a post (you don't have to publish it, don't worry!). If the product can be tagged in the app, that's great news!
Confirm you have a checkout-enabled Shop with Meta
On August 2023, Meta announced that businesses without check-out-enabled Shops on Facebook and Instagram would no longer be able to tag products on third-party tools (like Vista Social).
If you don't have check-out with Instagram set up, you'll need to upgrade your shops to checkout with Instagram before being able to tag your posts on any scheduling tool like ours.
