Types of post comments
There are two types of notes that you can add to posts:
- Internal Comments: These are private comments that only your team members can see. Use internal comments for team discussions, planning, and feedback. This keeps all sensitive and internal information secure within your team.
- External Comments: These comments are visible to users outside of your team, such as clients or partners. External comments are perfect for gathering feedback from clients or collaborating with partners. Viewers can only see these comments (internal comments are not visible).
How to leave post comments?
1. Spot the little chat bubble icon on the top right of the scheduler? That's your key to start a conversation about a post.
2. Click on it, and you can leave your thoughts, ideas, or any suggestions right there. Remember that internal comments are for your team, while external comments are for your shared calendar viewers/clients!
3. If a collaborator is using a shared calendar link to view posts, they can add external comments from there as well. Just make sure that you enable this in your shared calendar's settings.
4. When leaving a note, they will be asked to leave their personal information (name and email address).
|
Note: Your shared calendar (external) comments will remain separate from your internal team comments, ensuring only the right eyes see the right feedback. |
How to view comments as a team member
1. But wait, how do you know if a post has comments? Easy peasy! Just look out for the chat bubble icon with a number inside on the calendar view. That number tells you how many comments a post has.
2. You'll also see the chat bubble counter when you open the post.
How to get notified when someone leaves a post comment
1. To get notified on post comments, make sure you have notifications turned on by going to Settings → Account Settings → Notifications.
2. The following users will receive an email notification:
- When someone drops a comment on a post, the original creator of the post will get an email notification - no more missed feedback!
- If someone is mentioned in a comment or a previous comment, they'll also receive a notification.
- If a user ever left a comment on that post, they're in the loop too, and will get a notification.
With our post-commenting feature, you're all set to make your social media post planning a real team effort. Remember, great posts are born from great collaboration. Happy commenting!
