Using Vista Work in the mobile app

Vista Work is fully available in the Vista Social mobile app. Check your tasks, update them, comment with your team, and manage projects from your phone. Everything you change syncs with Vista Work on the web.

How to open Vista Work in the app

1. Open the Vista Social app and log in.
2. Tap ••• (More) at the bottom right.
3. Tap Work. You land on My work.

My work

My work shows the tasks assigned to you, grouped by when they're due: Overdue, Upcoming, and No due date. Each task shows its status, project, and due date.

• All profile groups: show tasks from every profile group, or pick one.
• All projects: open the list of projects.
• +: create a new task.

View and update a task

Tap a task to open it. The Details tab has everything about the task:

• Status: tap it to move the task along, for example, from Not started to In progress.
• Priority, Due, Assigned to, and Labels: tap any of them to change it. You can assign more than one person.
• Description, Checklist, Subtasks, Attachments, and Linked items.

The Activity tab shows comments and the task's history. Type in Write a comment to reply, and use @ to mention a teammate. Tap Show updates to see earlier changes.

Create a task

1. Tap + in My work or inside a project.
2. Enter what needs doing, then choose the Project, Status, Priority and Due date.
3. Tap Create task.

Projects and views

Tap All projects to see your projects, then tap one to open it. Inside a project:

• List, Board and Calendar: switch between views with the icons at the top.
• Sort, Filter and Search: find the tasks you need.
• Settings (gear icon): change the project name, description, color, icon and statuses, or make it the default project for its profile group.
• +: create a task in this project.

Group tasks and save a view

In View options, group tasks by Status, Assignee, Priority, Due date, or Labels, and choose how to sort them. Tap Save view to keep the setup. Give the view a name, and turn on Private view if only you should see it.

Filter tasks

Tap the filter icon to show only the tasks you need, for example by Priority, Due date, assignee, or label. Tap Clear all to remove the filters.

Important notes

• Changes you make in the app show up in Vista Work on the web, and the other way around.
• You see the same projects and tasks as on the web, based on your access in Vista Social.
• Get the latest version of the Vista Social app from the App Store or Google Play to use Vista Work on mobile.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I don't see Work in the app. What should I do?

A: Update the Vista Social app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play, then open ••• (More) again.

Q: Do changes I make on my phone show up on the web?

A: Yes. Tasks, comments, statuses, and project changes made in the app show up in Vista Work on the web, and the other way around.
