Advocate profile restrictions let you cap how many social profiles each advocate can connect to, both overall and per network. Use this to keep your advocacy program focused on the networks that matter most to your brand, or to prevent an advocate from connecting more profiles than you can support.
Where to find these settings
- Hover over the main menu on the left and click Advocacy.
- Find the advocacy program you want to update, then click the three-dot menu on the right.
- Click Settings.
- Expand Advocate profile restrictions.
Setting the limits
- Max profiles per advocate (optional) - sets a total cap on how many social profiles an advocate can connect across all networks combined.
- Add network limit - click this to add a cap for a specific network, then enter its Max profiles value.
- Click the X next to a network row to remove that network's limit.
- Click Update to save your changes.
You can set a total limit, per-network limits, or both. If you set both, an advocate is capped by whichever limit they reach first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I need to set both a total limit and per-network limits?
A: No. Max profiles per advocate is optional, so you can use just per-network limits, just a total limit, or both together.
Q: Can I set a limit for only one network?
A: Yes. Click Add network limit and enter a max profiles value for that network. You don't need to add every network or set an overall max.
