Follow the steps below to connect your YouTube channel to Vista Social.

Note Due to YouTube API limitations, only channel owners can connect YouTube channels to tools like Vista Social. Learn more in Why can't I add the YouTube Channel that I Manage?. |
How to connect your YouTube channel
1. Log in to your Vista Social account and go to Quick add → Add a social profile.
2. Choose the profile group you want to add the profile to. If the profile group isn't on the list yet, click Create new profile group. Then click Continue.
3. Find YouTube in the list of social networks and click Connect.
4. You'll be redirected to Google. Sign in to the Google account that owns the YouTube channel you want to connect.
5. On the authorization screen, check all the permission boxes and click Continue.
6. You'll see the list of YouTube channels you own. Select the channel you want to connect and click Connect at the bottom of the screen.
7. Once the channel is connected, you'll get a notification and the profile will appear under Profile Management.
Enable intermediate and advanced features
You can upload videos, reply to conversations, and view analytics regardless of which features are enabled on your channel. We still recommend enabling YouTube's intermediate and advanced features to avoid limits on what you can publish.

Q: Why can't I see the YouTube channel I manage?
A: Only the channel owner can connect a YouTube channel. See Why can't I add the YouTube Channel that I Manage?.
Q: Which permissions do I need to allow?
A: Check all the boxes on the Google authorization screen. If a permission is missing, Vista Social can't publish or pull data for the channel.
Q: Can I connect more than one YouTube channel?
A: Yes. In step 6, the list shows every channel you own. Repeat the steps for each channel you want to add.
Q: My YouTube profile disconnected. What should I do?
A: Reconnect it by following How to reconnect/disconnect profiles.
Q: Can a team member connect the YouTube profile for me?
A: Yes. Invite them as a team member with permission to connect profiles. See How to invite users as team members to connect social profiles.
