Want to call out a person or a brand in your post? Saved Mentions let you mention them in your caption with the right handle on each network.

What are Saved Mentions?

Some brands use different usernames on different social networks. Instead of tagging each one by hand, create a saved mention once, and Vista Social tags the correct profile on each network.

Why use Saved Mentions

Mention all of a brand's profiles in less time.
Control exactly who gets mentioned.
Make sure the correct profile is tagged on each network.

How to create a saved mention

1. Open the publishing window and click the @ icon below the caption to open Saved mentions.

2. Click the + icon to create a new saved mention.

3. Type the name of the person or brand you want to mention and click Search. Vista Social looks for matching profiles on each network. Review the results to make sure the correct profiles are selected.

We can only find LinkedIn personal profiles that follow your Company Page. Learn more.

4. If a result is wrong, click the trash icon next to it and search again. For TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, and Threads, type the username in the field.

5. Click Continue to finish creating your saved mention.

How to use a saved mention

1. In the publishing window, click the @ icon and select the saved mention from the list.

2. The mention is added to your caption, and Vista Social uses the right handle for each network.

How to disable Saved Mentions

Important

If you turn off Saved Mentions, Vista Social won't validate the mentions in your caption. If a handle is misspelled or belongs to the wrong account, the post is still published with that text.

Go to Settings > Publishing Settings > Saved Mentions and select Disable saved mentions.

Q: Why can't I find a LinkedIn personal profile?

A: We can only find LinkedIn personal profiles that follow your Company Page.

Q: Can I still mention users without Saved Mentions?

A: Yes. Disable Saved Mentions in Settings > Publishing Settings > Saved Mentions and type the handles in your caption.
