Post labels and media labels are now one shared system called tags. Queue labels still work separately, because they control which queue slots a post is scheduled into. Here's how the two compare.
Tags (formerly post, media, and inbox labels)
Tags organize and categorize your content. Your workspace has one set of tags that works across:
- Posts
- Inbox messages
- Media library items
- Ideas and tasks
- Automations
Use tags to group content by topic, brand, campaign, or content pillar, then filter your calendar, media, and reports by them. Tags support nesting, aliases, and group rules, and you manage them all in Settings → Tags.

Queue labels
Queue labels organize your publishing queues. Assign a label to specific queue time slots, and posts with that label are scheduled into those slots, for example, weekday content, weekend content, or a specific campaign.

Q: What happened to my post and media labels?
A: They're now tags. Everything you labeled before still has its tag, and posts and media now share the same set of tags.
