Instagram does not currently allow third-party tools, including Vista Social, to automatically publish Stories with interactive elements such as stickers, GIFs, polls, questions, or links.
How it works
Instead of auto-publishing the Story, Vista Social sends a reminder notification at the scheduled time. From there, you can continue the publishing process on Instagram and add any interactive elements before posting.

How to schedule an Instagram Story with stickers or links
Step 1: Create and schedule your Story
Create your Instagram Story in Vista Social as usual.
When scheduling the Story, select Reminder Notification as the publishing method.
Schedule the Story for your preferred date and time.
Step 2: Receive the reminder notification
At the scheduled time, you'll receive a push notification from the Vista Social mobile app.
Tap the notification to open the scheduled Story.
Step 3: Continue publishing in Instagram
Select Continue to Instagram.
Vista Social will transfer the Story content to Instagram so you can complete the publishing process.
Step 4: Add stickers, GIFs, polls, or links
Before publishing, use Instagram's native Story editor to add:
- Links
- Stickers
- GIFs
- Polls
- Questions
- Music
- Other interactive Story elements
Step 5: Publish your Story
Review your Story and publish it directly from Instagram.

Note Interactive Story elements such as stickers and links are not available through Instagram's publishing API. As a result, third-party platforms like Vista Social cannot add or auto-publish these elements on your behalf. Using reminder notifications is currently the recommended workflow for Stories that require interactive features. |

Q: Is there a workaround to still include stickers or links in my Stories?
A: Yes! You can schedule your Story as a reminder notification. When the reminder is triggered, you'll finish posting it manually via the Instagram app, where you can add stickers and links before publishing.
Q: How do reminder notifications work for Stories?
A: When your scheduled time arrives, Vista Social sends a push notification to your phone (via the Vista Social mobile app). Tap the notification, choose “Continue to Instagram,” and complete your post in the Instagram app.
Q: Do I need a specific Instagram profile type for this?
A: This feature works with any Instagram profile type, but you’ll need to have the Vista Social mobile app installed and notifications enabled.
Q: Why can’t these features be added automatically?
A: It’s a Meta API limitation. They haven’t made Story stickers and links accessible to other platforms like ours. But we’ve built a workflow to help you still use them manually at the time of posting.
Q: Will you support direct stickers/links in the future?
A: We’re keeping a close eye on Meta’s API updates. As soon as this becomes available for 3rd-party platforms, we’ll make it available in Vista Social!
