Vista Social allows you to automatically moderate comments using Automations. This helps you instantly hide or delete unwanted comments (e.g., spam, negative keywords, or inappropriate content) without manual intervention.

What this feature does

With automations, you can:

Automatically hide comments that match certain conditions
Automatically delete comments (remove them permanently)
Detect intent using AI (e.g., negative sentiment about your brand)
Filter comments using keywords or phrases

This is ideal for maintaining a clean, safe, and on-brand community at scale.

How to set it up

1. Create a new automation

Go to the Automations section → Create automation

Select Create from scratch and click Continue (if you wish, you can explore our Ready-to-go templates for other automations)

2. Set the trigger

Define a name for your automation
Select which social profile the automation will run on
Choose the event: Comments on post or reel
Select:
- All posts (applies globally), or
- Specific posts

You can control when the automation runs:

Detect intent (AI)
- Example: “if the comment says something bad about my product”
Must include keywords
- Example: spam words, offensive terms
Must not contain keywords
- Exclude safe phrases if needed

3. Choose the action

Click Continue to go to actions
Select one of the following:

Hide comment → removes from public view (recommended for moderation)
Remove/delete comment → permanently deletes the comment

(Optional) Add more actions if needed
Click Save and Set Live

You're all set! Any comment that matches the trigger conditions should be automatically removed or hidden.
