If instead of using a default Vista Page domain (e.g. mybrand.vista.page), you'd like to use a domain you've already purchased (e.g. bio.mybrand.com), you can set up your custom domain easily. 🎉
Here's how:
Step 1: Pick domain and configure DNS
Make DNS changes for the domain you'd like to use. You have a choice of CNAME (recommended) or A Record.
CNAME: vista.page
A Record: 54.204.25.85
Step 2: Enter new domain in page settings
Head to your Vista Page's settings tab
In the Custom Domain section, add the domain (mybrand.com) or subdomain (bio.mybrand.com) you want to use and click Save custom domain.
Step 3: Make DNS settings to enable SSL
Your custom domain needs an SSL certificate and order for us to issue it, we need you to make DNS changes to prove your ownership of the domain. Please grab the DNS records from the pop-up to get your domain set up properly. Here are a few helpful guides if your domain was purchased from Godaddy or Namecheap.
Step 4: Verify DNS Changes
Once you update your DNS records for your domain, in most cases your changes will take minutes to take effect but it could take up to 48hrs for the changes to propagate. You'll see your custom domain show as Pending in your Vista Page settings. You can click the checkbox to have us re-check after 24-48hrs.
DONE! Your domain is now setup!
Once your DNS records are confirmed and an SSL certificate it set up, you'll see your custom domain settings switch to Issued and is now ready to use!
