- Only Facebook Pages support carousel posts (not groups)
- Your post must contain a link for carousel posts
- To add titles, you must add an Alt text to your images

How to Schedule a Facebook Carousel Post
1. Start your post by either clicking Create > New post to open the scheduling window
... or by selecting your images from the media library and clicking Create a post
2. Make sure that a Facebook page is selected on the list of social profiles and that your post contains a link (required)
3. On the Facebook preview area, change the "Publish as" setting to "Carousel"
4. To edit the title to be used for each image, click on Settings and use the Alternative Text field to type in the title you'd like to use for this image.
5. Once you've done this for all the images in your carousel, you can publish your carousel to Facebook.

Why are links required in Facebook carousel posts?Â
Facebook doesn't let users directly post carousels on their website or app. To work around this, 3rd party tools like Vista Social use links. When we include a link in a post, it then lets us share media as carousel posts.
There are two types of carousels: Organic carousels (what Vista Social uses) and carousels used for Ads (which we don't do). The link trick helps us share interesting content to boost your engagement in carousel form, even though carousel via Ads is not currently supported.Â
