When your AI assistant creates or schedules posts through Vista Social's MCP, it can set the same network-specific options you'd set in the Publish window. This article lists what's supported for each network.

You don't need to name each option. Describe the post you want, for example: "Schedule this video as an Instagram Reel tomorrow at 9 AM, tag @partnerbrand as a collaborator and turn off comments."

Follow-up comments (posted in order after the post goes live) are supported on Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, TikTok, Vimeo, X (Twitter) and YouTube. Liking your own post after it publishes is supported on Bluesky, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter) and YouTube.

Important notes

Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube posts need at least one image or video.
Polls work on LinkedIn and X (Twitter) only and can't include media. A poll has 2 to 4 options of up to 25 characters each, and a question of up to 140 characters. It can run from 1 hour to 7 days. LinkedIn only offers 1, 3 or 7 days, so other lengths are rounded down.
Your assistant can only use the networks and profiles your Vista Social user has access to.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can my AI assistant create polls?

A: Yes, on LinkedIn and X (Twitter). Ask for a poll and list the options, for example: "Post a poll on our LinkedIn page asking which webinar topic we should cover next: Analytics, Automation or AI captions."

Q: Why didn't my Snapchat post schedule?

A: Snapchat posts need a format. Tell your assistant whether it should be a story, Spotlight or saved story.

Q: Can my assistant schedule an Instagram trial Reel?

A: Yes. Ask for a trial Reel and say whether it should be shared to all your followers manually or automatically based on how it performs. Collaborators can't be added to trial Reels.
