Getting started with Inbox on mobile
1. To start, tap on the Inbox icon on the left bottom corner of your Vista Social app.
2. At the top, you'll see the icons of the selected social profiles you’re currently working on. You can select social profiles by swiping left and tapping the plus icon.
Navigating the mobile inbox
To view conversations in the mobile inbox, you can use the conversation status at the top to view what you’re exactly looking for.
- All messages - view all conversations that you currently have (except spam messages)
- Acknowledged - view all conversations you have acknowledged
- Unread - view unread conversations
- Starred - view conversations you have starred
- Spam - view conversations you have marked as spam
Types of engagements
Below is the list of items you can do in the Vista Social Inbox:
- View and Reply to Comments - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google My Business, YouTube, Linkedin
- View and Reply to Mentions - Twitter
- View and Reply to Messages - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
- View and Reply to Reviews - Google My Business
- View and Reply to Shares - Facebook
Mobile Inbox Features
- Engagement type - you will see what type of conversation you’re currently viewing (message, comments, share, mention, etc.)
- Acknowledge button - this will acknowledge the conversation
- Starred button - this will star the conversation
- Spam button - this will spam the conversation
Responding to a conversation
To respond to a conversation, just tap on it and it will open the thread with the reply box. Click on the right-pointing arrow icon to respond to a specific message. You can add an image or video, hashtags, a saved reply, or use the AI assistant to help with your reply.

Q: How often does the inbox update for new messages?
A: Messages and comments come in real-time for Facebook and Instagram. For all other networks, the inbox updates every 6-7 hours on a refreshed schedule.
Q: Can I delete my messages from Vista Social?
A: No, most social networks do not allow third-party tools to delete messages on a user’s behalf, so this feature is not available in Vista Social.
Q: Does Vista Social also pull ad comments through?
A: Yes, dark post comments are supported for Meta ads.
Q: Is there a time limit for responding to Facebook and Instagram DMs?
A: Yes. Meta has a response window policy for Direct Messages to ensure timely communication and a positive user experience. You can read more about it here.
Q: Can I get faster sync for LinkedIn and TikTok?
A: Yes, if you’re on the Enterprise plan. This plan offers faster sync for LinkedIn and TikTok, ensuring real-time updates for currently available engagements.
Q: How many messages and comments can Vista Social sync per day?
A: We can sync up to 500 messages and comments per profile per day.
Q: Does Vista Social support dark post comments for Meta ads?
A: Yes. Dark post comments are supported for Meta ads.
Q: Are TikTok direct messages supported?
A: Yes, TikTok direct messages are available for Business Accounts outside the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
