You can personalize the left navigation menu to match how you work. Reorder items, hide the ones you rarely use, and keep your most-used tools within reach. Hidden items aren't removed from your account: they move to the More menu, where you can open them anytime.
How to open the navigation settings
Option 1: From Settings
1. Click your avatar in the bottom left corner and select Settings.
2. Go to Account Settings → Appearance.
3. Scroll to Navigation menu items.
Option 2: From the left navigation
1. Click More at the bottom of the left navigation menu.
2. Click Customize navigation.
This takes you to Navigation menu items, where you manage the order and visibility of your menu items.

How to reorder menu items
In Navigation menu items, drag and drop any item to a new position. The left navigation updates right away.
Pro Tip Put the tools you use most, such as Ask Vista, Calendar, or Inbox, at the top for quicker access. |
How to hide menu items
In Navigation menu items, click the checkmark next to an item to hide it. The item disappears from the main navigation and moves to the More menu. Click it again to show it.

Note Hiding a menu item doesn't turn off the feature or remove anyone's access to it. |
How to restore the default navigation
Click Restore defaults at the top right of Navigation menu items. This brings back the default order and shows every item again. The link appears once you've changed the order or hidden an item.
Good to know
- Hidden items are never deleted. You can always find them under More.
- Reordering or hiding items only changes the menu layout. It doesn't change your permissions or features.
- Changes are saved right away.
- Your navigation settings only apply to you, not your team.
Important Be careful when hiding Create and Calendar. They're the main entry points for creating and scheduling posts, so hiding both makes scheduling harder to reach. Your Home page is set separately: if you set a hidden item as your home page, you still land on it after logging in, but it won't appear in the left menu. |
Troubleshooting
A menu item is missing
- Open the More menu and check whether the item is there.
- If you want it back in the main menu, open Customize navigation and turn it back on.
I land on a page that isn't in my navigation
Your Home page is probably set to an item you've hidden. The page still opens when you log in. To change it, go to Appearance → Home page, or show the item again in Navigation menu items.
