The Ideas feature in the Vista Social app allows you to create, organize, collaborate, and turn ideas into posts, all in one place.
This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about this feature.
Accessing the ideas section
- Open the Vista Social mobile app
- Tap the ideas icon in the bottom navigation
- You will land on the ideas dashboard:
Creating a new idea
- Tap on the paper plane icon at the top right → "Create new idea".
- Add your content:
- Caption or post text
- Media (optional)
- You can also add:
- Labels (e.g., campaign, theme)
- Profile group (where the idea will be used)
- Tap Save idea.
Generating ideas with AI
- Tap “Generate with AI”
- Fill in the required fields:
- Topic or idea description
- Target audience
- Knowledge base (optional)
- Image keywords (optional)
- Tap Generate an idea
- Select “Use it” to apply the generated content. You can also generate another idea.
This feature is useful for generating content drafts and overcoming writer’s block!
Adding labels and profile groups
Within the idea editor:
- Tap select labels to categorize your idea
- Tap select profile groups to assign where the content will be published
This helps with organization, filtering, and campaign management.
Collaborating with team members
Internal notes
- Select an idea
- Tap the comment bubble icon
- Enter your message
- Use @mention to tag a teammate
- Send the comment
Internal notes are only visible within Vista Social and are used for collaboration and feedback.
Adding team members
You can also add team members to an idea so they can:
- Collaborate on the creation of the idea
- Edit the idea

Leave comments
Starring ideas
- Tap the star icon on an idea to mark it as important
- Starred ideas will appear in the starred ideas section
This is useful for prioritizing content.
Creating folders
- On the ideas section, tap the paper plane icon
- Select Create folder
- Enter a folder name and save it
Folders help organize ideas by campaign, theme, or client.
Creating a post from an idea
- Open an idea
- Tap Create a post
- You will be taken to the post editor, where you can make changes to the idea before publishing.
- Select:
- Social profiles you want to post to
- Scheduling time
- Add a post label\
- Tap Publish now or Save (as draft)
How to delete an idea
To delete an idea, simply open it and tap the red trash icon below.
Best practices
- Use labels and folders together for better organization
- Use AI-generated ideas as a starting point and refine them
- Use internal notes for approvals and collaboration
- Star ideas that are ready for publishing
