This guide shows you how to automate SMS campaigns with Vista Social and Zapier. You can set up triggers to send SMS messages whenever a new post goes live in Vista Social. This way, you keep your audience informed easily.

Step 1: Set up the Vista Social trigger

In Zapier, create a new Zap.
Select Vista Social as the trigger app.
Get your API key from your Vista Social account and go back to Zapier to add it.

4. Choose New Post is Published as the event.

Step 2: Set up a profile filter

Add a filter step. This way, the automation will only continue if your custom channel for your SMS profile has scheduled content.

Step 3: Set up the SMS action

Select your preferred SMS service (e.g., Telegram, SimpleTexting, Twilio, or another SMS provider).
Choose the action event:
- Send Campaign (for bulk messages)
- Send Message (for individual texts)
Authenticate your SMS service account.
Map the fields (depending on the sms platform you have chosen):
- Recipient(s): Define the contacts or list.
- Text Format: Specify the format of the message you want to send.
- Message Content/Text: Map from the post content in Vista Social.
- Send Time: Use "Now" or set a delay.
Test the action to ensure the message is formatted and sent correctly.
