If you've reached this page when trying to connect your Instagram profile but notice the one you want to connect is missing, this article will help you get up and running quickly!
Here are the most common things that cause this issue:
1. Permissions were not properly give to Vista Social
You may may not have given us the permissions we need to your account. This typically happens when you try to connect your Instagram profile or Facebook page for the first time. All the permissions should be accepted as shown below:
During this process you are presented with several questions by Facebook where they inform you of all the permissions to your account we are asking for.
Sometimes the users uncheck a few things on these screens.
Fixing this is fairly simple.
On Facebook click on Settings & Privacy then Settings
Click on Security and login and then Business Integrations
Once there, click on the Remove button to the right of 'Vista Social'
Now head over to your Vista Social account and try connecting your Instagram profile one more time.
Make sure you use the "Select All" option for all Instagram Profiles, Groups, and Pages, even if you don't plan on managing some of them in Vista Social.
If that worked, great! 🎉
If not, move on to step 2 below.
2. Instagram Profile is not a Business Profile or was not converted properly
If your Instagram profile is not showing up on the list of profiles and Facebook permissions are not the issue, then it is most likely due to the Instagram conversion to a Business Profile not being done correctly.
Reconverting to Business Profile
On your phone, log in to the Instagram profile and convert it back to personal
(Settings > Account > Switch Account Type > Switch to Personal Acccount)
Close the app and reopen it. Go back to profile settings on the Instagram app and convert it back to business (Switch account type > Business).
On your list of Facebook pages, click to select the Facebook page of the brand that matches the Instagram profile you are connecting. This step is critical and ensure that you are selecting the correct Facebook page.
Do not skip this step as this may create a brand new Facebook page for it.
Do not click "Don't connect to Facebook Now"
You should be all set! You may now go back to Vista Social and follow the steps in this article to reconnect the Facebook and Instagram profiles.
