If you have a Facebook group you may be wondering how to get its numeric id. This is really useful when connecting Facebook groups to new experience Facebook pages that happen to be admins.
This connection is needed if you plan to publish to groups as a page.
When you look at your group, the first thing you will notice that address bar contains a 'friendly' name of your group. This is NOT a group id.
Facebook seems to be hiding group id, but luckily it is not that difficult to find it.
Click the '...' menu and then choose "View Member Requests".
When you arrive at Member Requests page, you will notice that a numeric id is now visible in the address bar of your browser. In this case it 1478517635909132
It appears that Member Requests page is not the only page that exposes numeric Facebook group id. You can also try:
- "Your content" menu option
- You can also go to Media > Create new album.
Hope this helps!
